"I'm glad it works for some people. My son, aged five months, seems to have some sort of sensitivity to it. He calmed down a lot, stopped drooling so much and became easier to deal with after the first twenty four hours or so then after about day three or four, he started in with vomiting up (breast milk) and with diarrhea. He also started screaming -all the time-. We took it off for two days and his symptoms disappeared. Thinking that we may be able to just use it less, we placed it back on him on the third day and within an hour he was back to vomiting again and being pretty irate and clingy over everything. I've looked into succinic acid only to find that it's listed as a pharmaceutical drug BUT that there's no safety data for use in humans. It also has industrial purposes in the manufacture of plastics. Knowing a good deal about pharmacology and organic chemistry, this doesn't really bother me beyond the fact that there's no safety data for use in humans and that it didn't seem to work for him. I wouldn't personally recommend it but I wouldn't dissuade anyone from purchasing it, either. I just wish it had something in the product listing about watching out for reactions like these."
